Kalos represents a bold claim in a distracted and angry world. It is a statement that, amidst all the privation and anxiety of our digitally accelerated world, encounters with Beauty matter.  How do we justify the expenditure of time, talent, and treasure that the making of art demands? Our culture would distract us, and pull us away from each other with the illusion of ‘content’ and ‘engagement’.  Kalos is the quest to embody Beauty through the contemplations of human intellect, both those who create and those who behold.  To commune together around the pursuit of the Beautiful is to commune together in the pursuit of God.  Absolute, perfect Beauty is one of the great rewards of Heaven and to pursue it in this life is the down payment on the delights of Eternity.  Beauty is a significant part of what we are saved unto.
