2025 Rocky Mountain Regional Conference
We are planning a rich and varied time together beginning with our plenary session on Friday night with step one of our process. We will hear the stirring and rich thinking of Dr. Junius Johnson as he helps us think more clearly about the nature and reward of encountering Beauty. Woven together into this we will hear pianist Dr. Paul Barnes and violinist Teimuraz Janikashvili bring their musical artistry, giving us an opportunity to apply the theological and philosophical into practice. It will be a soul-stirring opening evening that will lead into our next day of sessions. We offer a variety of sessions that vary from the theological to the practical. We will have curated sessions to encounter visual art and poetry along with more music. We will hear more from Dr. Johnson on how to practice a life in pursuit of Beauty. We will have sessions that help artists navigate faithfulness to the gospel in the public square. We will hear from Fr. Jeromie Rand with a pastoral perspective on beauty in the life of the church. We will hear from Brian Brown, Executive Director of the Anselm Society about their work in encouraging a life of Beauty. We will hear vocal artistry from Attuned and share in corporate music-making through part-singing together. We will encounter the music of composer N. Lincoln Hanks. We will have a final plenary time together when we hear all of our musician artists in a final program. Throughout the day, we will have space for ad hoc interaction with each other to explore and encourage each other. It will be a memorable time.
