My first interaction with Kalos came through a conversation with Gustav on Substack, where I encountered his work. We immediately resonated on a number of things, and it became clear to me that what he was building with Kalos Arts struck a deep chord personally.
Until my early twenties I was a staunch atheist. It was God's Beauty (particularly through music and stories) that began to pull me out of the existential desert I was living in. Ever since, the pursuit of Beauty through music has become about alerting others to the meaning of life. I know it's a tall ask, and maybe a tad on the lofty side. But then again, that is something music is equipped to do perhaps better than anything else: to tell you that there is hope and meaning in this life.
Kalos Arts, and anyone else involved in that sort of work, can consider themselves fellow soldiers in the same endeavor as me.
